COD MW2 was by far the best one in the series. The killing of Ghost was my first “what the fuck just happened?!?!?” moment during gaming.

That mission was so intense. The fambush and following firefight in the smoke in the woods. Clearing and Defending the mansion. Choosing any weapon from the stockpile. Pushing back into the woods and escaping with little birds firing in the treeline. Brilliant mission design and indeed brilliant music as well.
