Despite the season 8 writing not being so good. I can agree on the part where jon doesnt fight the night king. He is the night king. He can ressurect the dead and let them fight for him. Which is exactly what he did. Why would he risk it all and fight jon 1 on 1 knowing 1 lucky stroke will get kill Him.

Just so we're clear...Martin has confirmed multiple times that he told D&D how the series was to end. If there's been any difference at all, it's because there are characters in the books that never were introduced in the series, like Aegon VI. But you earnestly believe that D&D ignored Martin's outline and just did their own thing?
